If you register for a course or webinar, a membership site (meritscholarshiplist.com), a free PDF or a free training series, for example, the information is used to enroll you in the program, to enroll you in our newsletters, to track your preferences, and to keep you informed about the product and related products. As a visitor to our sites, you can engage in many activities without providing any personal information.
If you opt in to receive any free training series, download a free product, register for a webinar, seminar, or live event, or purchase any product sold by us or promoted by us, you will automatically be subscribed to our free newsletter. If you do not wish to receive this free newsletter, you may opt out at any time. We include an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email we send.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
The data collected in the comments form is not used for any other purpose besides verifying that the comment is not spam.
Comments are not automatically posted to the site when submitted. They are saved for review by site administrators to verify they are not spam prior to posting to the site.
If you post a comment to the website, your email address will not automatically be added to any type of mailing list.
Contact forms
If you contact us through the contact form on the website, that contact information is used only to contact you back. No tracking of this contact information is kept and you will not be added to any type of mailing list unless you specifically sign up for our weekly newsletter.

Who we share your data with
We do not share your data with any other person or separate web properties for any purposes. If you sign up for our weekly newsletter or purchase the Full Scholarship List, your name and email address are kept solely by Wendy Nelson and her meritscholarshiplist.com and mykidscollegechoice.com web properties.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (meritscholarshiplist.com only), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can only see and edit your name, username and email address. Administrators have the ability to reset your password,but cannot see a password that you personally set.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on meritscholarshiplist.com, or have left comments on mykidscollegechoice.com, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
